Almeda Trio - Final Concert of the Season

The Almeda Trio will conclude its first season as trio-in-residence at The Music Settlement with a performance at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 6, 2010.

Taking its name from the early 20th-century social activist and founder of The Music Settlement, Almeda Adams, Trio members - Robert Cassidy, piano, Cara Tweed, violin and Ida Mercer, cello—are dedicated to performance excellence, education, and community outreach. All three in the ensemble are members of The Music Settlement faculty.

The concert will feature:
• Trio No. 3 in G Minor, Opus 110 by Robert Schumann
• Trio No. 2 in E Minor, Opus 67 by Dmitri Shostakovich
• Cafe Music by Paul Schoenfield.
